The Somali Evaluation Society (SOMES) took part in the Consultative Meeting on the Monitoring & Evaluation Framework of the National Transformation Plan (NTP 2025–2029), organised by the Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development (MoPIED) and held in Mogadishu on 7 June 2026.

The meeting was officially opened by the Minister of Planning, Hon. Mahmoud C. Sheikh Farah (Beenebeene). Discussions focused on the draft M&E Framework of the NTP.

SOMES’s contribution

Senior members of SOMES contributed technical recommendations to enhance the document and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the Government of Somalia in finalising the NTP M&E Framework, as well as participating in future reviews and evaluations upon government request.

SOMES also confirmed its readiness to support efforts aimed at strengthening M&E capacity across ministries and government institutions.
