One professional community, four ways in. Membership connects Somali evaluators under a shared ethical and professional framework.
Membership categories & fees
Dues are set by the Executive Board and treated as unrestricted funds for core operations. Choose a category and a 1, 2 or 5-year term. Payment is accepted by EVC Plus, eDahab, Zaad, card and bank transfer.
All figures in USD. Membership activates once payment is confirmed; a receipt is emailed to you. Pay by EVC Plus mobile money (merchant / bill number 634793) or contact membership@somes.so for bank or card options.

A professional membership card
Every approved member receives a verified digital membership card — with a QR code that anyone can scan to confirm your membership online. It reflects your category and works as your professional identity at events, trainings and partner institutions.

From application to membership in five steps
These steps run in order, and you can track your position at each stage from the member portal.
Apply online
Complete the registration form with your professional details and evaluation experience. It takes about five minutes.
Sign the code of values
All members commit to the seven SOMES value statements covering integrity, ethics and inclusion.
Pay annual dues
Pay by mobile money (EVC Plus, eDahab, Zaad), bank transfer or card. A receipt is issued automatically.
Secretariat verification
The Secretariat verifies your details, normally within five working days, and confirms your category.
Portal access opens
Your membership number, virtual ID card, downloadable certificate and directory profile become active.

Confirm your payment
After paying, email your name, membership category and the transaction message to membership@somes.so. A receipt is issued once the payment is matched.

Never lose your standing
Membership runs for twelve months from the date of confirmation. SOMES sends automated reminders at 60, 30 and 7 days before expiry, and you can switch on automatic renewal in the portal. Institutional members receive a consolidated invoice.
